JOSEPH TATUM LANE
HOLDEN BEACH, NC- Joseph Tatum Lane, 83, died on Aug. 15, 2013.  Born in Columbus County, he was the oldest son of Bennie and Myrtle Cox Lane.  He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Frank, Henry (H.C.), Mitchell; sister, Lillian Leggette; and oldest daughter, Marcella.

LOUISBURG - Patricia Hayes, 59, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Gospel Unlimited Church of Castalia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

LOUISBURG - The Rev. David J. Blake, 60, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. at Alert Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Dean Fulford Jr. and the Rev. Dale Eatmon officiating.  Entombment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.

FRANKLINTON - William Moses Morgan, 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at his home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Walter S. Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
