LOUISBURG—Josephine Hunt Driver, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014. She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Bessie Denton Hunt and Mark Henry Hunt and was preceded in death by her husbands, Yates Holmes and Claude Driver.

MRS. CAROLYN HARPER SMITH
DURHAM—Mrs. Carolyn Harper Smith, 71, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at her home. She was born June 21, 1942 in Franklin Co., to the late Robert Macklin Harper and the late Lottie Louise Murphy Harper. She grew up with her parents and her brother, Robert, in Youngsville.

LOUISBURG - Ricky J. Toney, 34, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 in Warren County. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 10, in the Alston-Anderson Funeral Chapel in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Mary H. Jones Cemetery in Louisburg.
