DAPHINE P. PREDDY

FRANKLINTON -- Daphine Pendleton Preddy, age 75, died January 16, 2015 in Franklin Medical Center. She was a native of Franklin County and was the daughter of the late Ernest Morris and Mary Helen Ross Pendleton. Daphine was a retired Mental Health Technician at John Umstead Hospital in Butner, NC and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

YOUNGSVILLE - Viola Gupton Champion, "Big Mama," of Youngsville, died Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Wake Medical Center. Born July 29, 1934 to the late Ezra and Lila Gilliam Gupton. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Elsie and Blanche, and her longtime companion, Lonnie Clay. A member of Wood Baptist Church and attended Hopkins Baptist Church in Zebulon.
