Breaking News: County has another sewage spill

YOUNGSVILLE -- Public utilities staff blamed excessive rainfall and snow saturation combined to overwhelm the county's sewage system, resulting in a spill -- the 24th in 13 months.
According to staff, 13,500 gallons of sewage spilled into an unnamed tributary of Richland Creek on Thursday.
Including Thursday's notification, in just over a calendar year, the county has reported 24 spills totalling more than 490,500 gallons of sewage.

LOUISBURG - Claudia Estelle Arrington Wardrick, 90, died Monday, March 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, at 1 p.m. at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Castalia. Burial will follow in the Wardrick family cemetery.
