DEBRA K. BATCHELOR

FRANKLINTON --Debra Kemp Batchelor, 67, widow of Arnold Martin Batchelor, died the morning of August 29, 2015. She was born to the late Ansel Nathaniel Kemp and Mary Ann Robins Kemp (surviving). The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville, Va. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

PAUL ELWOOD NOWELL
Jan. 15, 1922 - Aug. 29, 2015

LOUISBURG - Paul Elwood Nowell, 93, of Louisburg, formerly of Henderson, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015. He was born on January 15, 1922 to the late Joseph Kelly Nowell and Rowena Reeves Nowell. Mr. Nowell served in the United States Navy from 1943-46 as a Sea Plane Pilot and was retired from Harriet & Henderson Cotton Mill as a Personnel Manager/Benefit Planner after 40 plus years. He was a long time member of City Road United Methodist Church, having served in many capacities.
