OBITUARIES

JAMES G. PROFFITT

WARRENTON - Funeral services for James G. Proffitt, 62, who died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Walter's Chapel Holy Church in Hollister, with the Rev. Hurley Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver-Proffitt family cemetery.

LAWRENCE DAVIS PERRY, SR.
April 15, 1939 - September 19, 2015

ZEBULON - Lawrence Davis Perry, Sr., 76, went home to the Lord on Saturday. A lifelong native of Franklin County, he was son to the late Luther Davis and Annie Hazel Baker Perry. He was first and foremost a father, farmer, and community member of Pearces. He enjoyed Nascar, restoring old tractors, especially a John Deere.

LLOYD A. WEST

LOUISBURG - Lloyd Avery West, 92, died Saturday morning, Sept. 19, 2015 at his home. Funeral service was held Monday afternoon, Sept. 21, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
