Breaking News: Henderson man dies in crash

LOUISBURG -- A Henderson man was killed Thursday morning.
According to the State Highway Patrol, Leander Henderson was driving a 2007 Volkswagen south on Walter Grissom Road near U.S. 401 when he ran off the road to the right and hit a tree.
Emergency crews responded to the 8 a.m. accident, but Henderson, 53, died as a result of his injuries.

LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Carey "Mag" Perry, 77, who died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, will be held Monday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m. at Fork Chapel Baptist Church in Warrenton. Burial will follow in the Serupta Church cemetery.

GUSTER "BABY CAKES" BOONE

HOLLISTER - Funeral services for Guster "Baby Cakes" Boone, 65, who died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. at White Rock Baptist Church in Hollister, with the Rev. Stanley Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Boone family cemetery.
