ALICE W. SMITH

HENDERSON-Alice Woodlief Smith, 88, a former resident of South Garnett Street, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at the Whitmore Retirement Center in Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Rose Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Henderson, with the Rev. Terry Huffines officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church parlor. A private entombment will be held at Sunset Gardens.

Eugene Howard Stallings, Sr., 90, began his eternal rest on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Howard, the oldest son of the late Eugene Wheless and Ruby C. Stallings was born December 6, 1925, in Franklin County where he resided until moving to Oxford in 1965.

LOUISBURG - Funeral services for MacArthur "Bug" Lynch Jr., 36, who died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 12 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
