FRANKLINTON--James E. "Pete" Blackley, 86, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at Rex Hospital. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery, 1626 Gordon Moore Road, Franklinton, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating.

LOUISE PEARCE JEFFREYS

LOUISBURG--After a brief illness and surrounded by her loving family, Louise Pearce Jeffreys peacefully went to be with God and join her beloved, devoted husband of 60 years, Tommie (Hubert Devan Jeffreys), on September 16, 2017. Louise supported Tommie, the founder and operator of D&J Automotive in Louisburg, until his death in 2007. A welcome sight around the dealership, Miss Louise usually brought her delicious pineapple cake to be enjoyed by all. Louise's family was most important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
