PUBLIC HEARING

A public hearing will be included on the agenda of the June 17, 2008 regular meeting of the Franklinton Board of Commissioners. The purpose of the public hearing will be to receive comments regarding the proposed FY 2008-09 budget. A copy of this budget is available for inspection at Town Hall or at www.franklintonnc.us. PUBLIC NOTICE

Franklin County has on file a copy of the Local Education Agency Assurance regarding implementation of the requirements to demonstrate eligibility for Federal Fiscal Year 2008 for Individuals With Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA), Title VI, Part B, as amended by the IDEA Amendments of 2004, including all of the policies and procedures that were approved as part of the LEA’s most recent prior year Project/Plan, a copy of the eligibility requirements of Section 613 of the act as amended, and a copy of the Preschool Eligibility under Public Law 99-457. The Assurance for Individuals With Disabilities Education Act, eligibility requirements of Section 613, Program Narrative, Project Participants Page, Preschool Eligibility and Budgets are made available to the public May 19-30, 2008, in the office of the Superintendent, Franklin County Board of Education, 53 West River Road, Louisburg, North Carolina, 27549.
