Novozymes joins The Sustainability Consortium — a global effort to improve product sustainability
Novozymes, which operates a plant in Franklinton, has become a founding member of The Sustainability Consortium, a new global organization with aims to improve the sustainability of consumer products.
The company will join a diverse group of academics, governments, non-government organizations and businesses to fulfill The Sustainability Consortium’s mission of driving a new generation of products and supply networks that address environmental, social and economic imperatives.

Chapman named interim chief of nursing at Franklin Regional
Lynn Chapman, RN, MHA, BSN, NE-BC, joined the Franklin Regional Medical Center administration as interim chief nursing officer (CNO), effective Aug. 23.
Chapman comes to Franklin Regional from another Novant facility, Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, where she is a senior director of nursing operations.

Darnell earns designation
Steven A. “Andy” Darnell, a staff accountant with Pittard Perry & Crone, Inc. in their New Bern office, has successfully passed all four parts of the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Exam and has earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant.
Darnell is a 2009 honors graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, earning his Master of Science in accounting.
