LINZY Y. BURNETTE
September 26, 1932 – March 5, 2009
LOUISBURG – Linzy Young Burnette, 76, of Louisburg, passed away Thursday morning.

Mrs. Burnette was a daughter of the late Jim Tom and Nora Cash Young and was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Pippin and Kay Alford, and her brothers, Albert Young and Dykes Young. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mrs. Burnette is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Bonnie B. Burnette; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Alan Summerlin of Louisburg; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cheryl Burnette of Jamestown; grandchildren, Colin and Hannah Burnette, Jodie Summerlin; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and James Satterwhite of Louisburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ellis and Betty Young of Louisburg, Jimmy and Dot Young of Franklinton.

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
