EDNA M. WOODLIEF
FRANKLINTON - Edna Mitchell Woodlief, 71, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 in a Louisburg nursing facility. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, April 1) at Franklinton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Rod Mullen, the Rev. Luis F. Reinoso, the Rev. David Averette and the Rev. Clyde Waiden officiating. Inturnment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Mitchell and Marjorie Moore Mitchell. Mrs. Woodlief worked for Belk’s and Leggett’s as a sales clerk.

Surviving: her husband, Leon Woodlief; a sister, Beatrice M. Watts of Franklinton; a brother, Doug Mitchell of Castalia; two nieces and two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.

Memorial contributions may be made to Franklinton United Methodist Church, Franklinton, N.C. 27525, or to the Adult Day Program at the Franklin County Department of Aging, 127 Shannon Village, Louisburg, NC 27549.
