LOUISBURG - Sidney “Sid” McCoy Denton, 84, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Carebridge Assisted Living. Memorial services were conducted Monday, April 6, at Centerville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Keith Campbell officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Coleman and Lona Gupton Denton; brothers, Ezra, Rufus, Major, Buck, Ernest Holland and Cal Denton.
Surviving: several sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Centerville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Building Fund, c/o Fran Dement, 147 Dement Aycock Lane, Louisburg, NC 27549.
