GENEVA P. STEPHENSON
WAKE FOREST - Geneva Powell Stephenson, 86, died Thursday, April 23, 2009. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 26, at Woodland Baptist Church, with Dr. Tommy Seedorf officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Maona Davis Powell and Wiley Addison Powell, and was a graduate of Wake Forest High School. She spent some time as a teacher’s assistant at Wake Forrest High School and also restrung pearls for most of the Raleigh jewelry stores.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Kimmon Stephenson.

Surviving: her daughters, Donna Rollins Pace (Bob) of Wake Forest and Dr. Linda Rollins Roberts-Betsch (Jeff) of Alpharetta, Ga.; sister, Mildred P. Davis (James “Jay” Jr.) of Youngsville; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Baptist Church, Building Fund, 190 Woodland Church Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
