EARLINE JACKSON WOODLIEF
FRANKLINTON - Earline Jackson Woodlief, 83, formerly of Franklinton, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, S.C.

She was born in Granville County, the daughter of the late Branson and Annie Evans Jackson.  Mrs. Woodlief retired from the former Weavexx Manufacturing, Inc., in Wake Forest, in 1989 and was a member of the Youngsville Church of the Living God where she was active until her illness.  Mrs. Woodlief was an avid gardener and was the recipient of the “Yard of the Month” award many times.  Mrs. Woodlief loved her family dearly, especially her three granddaughters and great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William “Bill” Woodlief, and daughter, Faye Woodlief Keeton.

She is survived by her son, Ollie F. Woodlief and wife, Barbara of York, S.C.; sister, Edna Jackson Overton of Raleigh; granddaughters, Margaret Woodlief Stevens and husband Greg of York, S.C., Becky Wilson Sandling and husband Al of Franklinton, Khristie Claiborne Jackson and husband Billy of Oxford; great-grandchildren, Jessica Ball, Kee Stevens, Trey Stevens, Hannah Jackson, Cameron Jackson, Hillary Sandling, Mallary Sandling, and Will Sandling.

Funeral services will be held at 12 o’clock noon, Saturday, May 2, 2009 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. William “Bill” Spence officiating. Entombment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 A.M. Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587 (919-556-5811) and all other times at the home of Becky & Al Sandling, 1032 John Sandling Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.
