PATTIE BYRD ROBERTS CASH
September 9, 1910 – May 13, 2009
LOUISBURG - Pattie Byrd Roberts Cash, of Louisburg, went to be with her blessed Lord on May 13, 2009 at her home. She was the eldest of seven children of Charlie Hinton Roberts, Sr. and Annie Byrd Perry Roberts. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and a good friend to all who knew her.

She faithfully worked with her husband on the farm and on the tobacco markets from Florida to Kentucky. She was a gardener, a seamstress, a quilter, a Rook player and the best fried chicken and chocolate cake cook ever.

In addition to her parents, Pattie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Cash, Sr.; siblings, Mary Edna Bridges, Thelma Celestia Hall, Charlie Hinton Roberts, Jr., Ruth Lee Cash Boykin and grandson-in-law, Thomas Wayne Cooper.

She is survived by her son, Richard H. Cash, Jr. and his wife, Patsy Jones Cash; grandchildren, LuAnne Cash Cooper and Richard H. Cash, III and wife, Kelly; great-grandson, Richard H. Cash, IV. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Mae Wiggins; brother, Wiley Marvin Roberts; sister-in-law, Mabel Cash Roberts; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family is especially thankful to her caregiver, Alice Eaton. Alice’s loving kindness and devotion in service will always be remembered.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, May 17, 2009 at Flat Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the entombment service.

Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church for the “Lottie Moon Mission Fund” at 1589 Flat Rock Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
