BRYANT T. ROWE
April 2, 1920 – May 30, 2009
LOUISBURG – Bryant Thurston Rowe, 89, of Louisburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday afternoon surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Rowe was a son of the late William Ernest Rowe and Mary Elizabeth Nelms Rowe. He was preceded in death by his 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

He owned and operated Rowe Chevrolet and Buick Inc. until his retirement. He was well known for his service and support to Franklin County. He provided, at no charge, for 15 years for the Louisburg Rescue Squad a new vehicle for their emergency vehicle. This was the first service available in the county.

Mr. Rowe was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church. He designed the church building and served as a deacon. He taught Sunday School for 50 years.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wes Bailey officiating. The family received friends 1 hour prior the service and other times at the home. Burial followed at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mr. Rowe is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 66 years, Linda Lancaster Rowe; sons, B.T. Rowe, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and William “Bill” Rowe and wife Sandra of Marathon, FL; daughter, Kaye Rowe Shearin of Louisburg; brother, W.E. Rowe and wife Daisy of Louisburg; grandchildren, Kip Rowe and wife Donna, Ronnie R. Rowe, Travis W. Rowe, Rick Shearin and wife Susan, Cassandra R. Thompson, Gabriel W. Rowe and wife Nadine; 10 great-grandchildren; special family friend, Donnie Gilliam.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Building Fund, 402 NC Hwy. 561, Louisburg, NC 27549.
