ALICE D. WEATHERFORD
YOUNGSVILLE - Alice Jeanette Dickerson Weatherford, 76, died Monday, June 1, 2009. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, June 6) at Youngsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in the Raleigh National Cemetery.

She was born in Vance County, the daughter of the late Annie Laura Newton Dickerson and John Robert Dickerson. She retired from Youngsville Elementary after 30 years of service.

Surviving: son, Robert L. Weatherford III of Apex; daughters, Susan W. Foust of Wake Forest and Rose Colon (Cesar)  of Greenville; sisters, Irene Flowers of Wake Forest, Julia Wortham (Wilton) and Mary Crocker, all of Henderson; brothers, Albert Dickerson (Ethel), Randolph Dickerson (Pat) and Roger Dickerson, all of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lemuel “Bob” Weatherford Jr.; son, David Weatherford; and her brothers, Maurice Dickerson and Henry Dickerson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Youngsville Elementary School PTO, 125 Highway 1-A South, Youngsville, NC 27596.

Arrangements are by Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
