WILLIS C. BUNN
BUTNER - Willis Clyde Bunn, 65, died Saturday, June 20, 2009. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Peachtree Missionary Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Bunn family cemetery.

After graduating from Spring Hope High School, he went into the Air Force from May 1963 - November 1966.  In December of 1966, he started working at IBM in Research Triangle Park where he retired in December of 1996. 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Trish” Bunn; children, Missy Whitfield (Tony) of Hurdle Mills, Jennifer B. Oakley of Rougemont, Tommy Baines (Teresa) of Stem, Andy Baines of Clearwater, Fla., Darlene B. Gooch (Joel) of Stem; brothers and sisters, Wynona Mercer of Greensboro, Billy Bunn (Jean), Frank Bunn (Diane), all of Spring Hope, Margaret Ann Joyner (Braxton) of Nashville, Bobby Bunn (Fran) and Chester Bunn, all of Spring Hope; and seven grandchildren.

The flag in front of the funeral home was flown at half-staff in honor of Mr. Bunn’s service to his country.
