WAKE FOREST - Sylvia Gray Ford Jones, 71, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Beulah Christian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born in Eagle Rock, Va., daughter of the late Virginia Dudley Ford and Percy Calvin Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Ray Jones, and a son, Michael Gray Jones.

Surviving: her children, Debbie J. Turnage (Robert) of Rolesville, Judy Annette Mitchell of Durham, Bobby Ray Jones of Spring Hope, David Wayne Jones (Faye) of Stem, Keith Wesley Jones of Creedmoor, Chris Boyd Jones (Kim) of Butner, and Jeff Allen Jones of Wake Forest; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements by Bright Funeral Home and Cremation, Wake Forest.
