MARGARET A. FAWKES
ZEBULON - Margaret Anderson Fawkes, 91, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh. A memorial celebration of life was conducted at The Sanctuary Church of God in Raleigh, with the Rev. Dr. Douglas Allen and the Rev. Michael Allen officiating. A private burial took place in Graham prior to the service.

She was born in Washoe, Mont., to Ernest Cecil and Rause Walls Caldwell.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Leonard Anderson; second husband, John Fawkes; sons, the Rev. Lenny Anderson and William T. Anderson; and six siblings.

Surviving: children, Lawrence Anderson of Zebulon, Allen Anderson of Whitefish, Mont., Judy Greene of Anchorage, Alaska, Cheryl Anderson of Dallas, Tex., Robert Anderson of Whitefish, Mont., Ronald Anderson of Glendale, Ariz., LaVonne Anderson of Zebulon, Sharon Snyder of Kalispell, Mont., Miriam Rogers of Cashiers, N.C., Richard Anderson of Zebulon, Marlys Anderson-Hisaw of Bigfort, Mont., Shannon Anderson of Zebulon; stepchildren, Eileen Fawkes Thomas of Washington, D.C. and Alan Fawkes of Tampa, Fla.; 45 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sanctuary Church of God, 600 Mt. Vernon Church Road, Raleigh, N.C.
