ZEBULON - Lucy Jones Faison died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Rex Healthcare. Funeral service was conducted Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Zebulon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jack Glasgow officiating. Entombment followed at Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery, the Faison Mausoleum, Knightdale.

She was born in Wake County to Nora Beatrice Wall Jones and the late Grover Cleveland Jones. She and her husband formed Ron’s Auction & Realty Company, Inc. She was CEO, secretary-treasurer and manager of the company.

Surviving: husband, Ronald Willard Faison Sr.; daughter, Ronda Faison Sorrell (Larry) of Zebulon; son, Ronald Willard “Ron” Faison Jr. (Brittany) of Seaford, Del.; mother, Beatrice W. Jones of Wendell; sister, Barbara Jones Farrington (Floyd) of Wendell; brother, Paul Jones (Peggy) of Wendell; four grandchildren;  and one step-granddaughter.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Philip and David Jones.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zebulon Baptist Church Building Fund, 400 N. Arendell Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597.
