JERALD T. “JERRY” LIPSCOMB
ZEBULON - Jerald Thomas “Jerry” Lipscomb, 60, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at his home. Memorial services were held Sunday, Nov. 22, at St. James United Methodist Church in Raleigh.

He was born in Pensacola, Fla., to the late John Holt Lipscomb and Clelia Powell Lipscomb. He worked as a program director at Zebulon United Methodist Church and also at St. James United Methodist Church, where he currently served as a Stephen Leader.

Surviving: wife, Diane Turner Lipscomb; son, Chris Lipscomb (Annie) of Hendersonville; daughters, Beth Lipscomb of Erwin, Rebekah Lipscomb of Montgomery, Ala.; brothers, Jack Lipscomb (Martha) of Brookville, Md., Andy Lipscomb (Jane) of Jasper, Ga.; a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 3808 St. James Church Road, Raleigh, NC 27604 or to Society of St. Andrew (SOSA), P. O. Box 25081, Durham, NC 27702, Attention: Kate Pattison.
