VERTIE LEE ALSTON
LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Mrs. Vertie Lee Alston, 88, who died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church, Centerville, with Pastor Randolph Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Ethel M. Hayes and Lottie M. Wiseman, both of Greensboro, Queen E. Jackson and Clementine Graham, both of Hyattsville, Md.; sons, Roger Alston of Greensboro, Harry Alston of Bladensburg, Md., and Marvin Alston of the home; sisters, Lucy M. Wright of Louisburg, Arabelle Alston and Annie Hobbs, both of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Walter Alston of Louisburg and George Alston of Orange, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
