CECIL D. TANT
ZEBULON - Cecil David Tant, 85, of 435 Tant Road, died Sunday, December 27, 2009.

A native of Franklin County, he was a son of the late Cromie Jenkins and Minda Pauline Acree Tant.

He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was retired from the N.C.D.O.T.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Anderson Tant.

Surviving: son, Gary Tant (Carol); brothers, James A. Tant (Ramona) of Nashville, and Harold Tant (Sue) of New Bern; sister, Dixie Ann Manning (Edward) of Momeyer; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held Tuesday, December 29.
