LUCILLE M. ROMERO
July 18, 1926 – April 30, 2010
LOUISBURG – Lucille May Romero, 83, of Louisburg, died Friday morning at her home.  Mrs. Romero was a daughter of the late Willie Elias and Eleanor Shearin May and was preceded in death by her husband, Maj. Paul V. Romero; sister, Doris M. Dickerson; and brother, James May.

Mrs. Romero is survived by her daughters and sons- in-law, Ann and Larry Peoples of Louisburg, Gail and Barry Wester of Horseshoe Bend, ID, Shirley and Greg Patterson of Sanford; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Romero of Sanford, Steve and Linda Romero of Thurmont, MD; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma Dickerson of Raleigh, Shirley and Wilbur Southall of Louisburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmo and Dovie May, Douglas and Janet May, all of Louisburg, Vernon and Eula May of Wake Forest; sister-in-law, Peggy May of Louisburg; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home, 251 Egypt Church Rd. Louisburg, from 1 – 4 p.m. Saturday May 1, 2010.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Building Fund, 937 N. Main St. Louisburg, NC 27549.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
