BOYCE B. STALLINGS
RALEIGH - Boyce Brooks Stallings, 75, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Durham. A memorial celebration service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 2) at Inwood Baptist Church with military honors.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Floyd and Nellie Gray May Stallings. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired painter and worked with Brewer Paint Company for 10 years before joining the Wake County School System. He later went into business for himself.

Surviving: wife, Jessie A. Stallings; children, Cathy Burks Hargett (Ernie) of Wilmington, Ronnie Andrews (Nancy) of Raleigh and Tony Andrews of Clayton; sister, Dot Hensley of Raleigh; brothers, George of Clayton, Patrick of Florida and Thomas of South Carolina; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed and Burton Stallings.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Inwood Baptist Church, 3700 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.

The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall and other times at the home.
