WILLIAM ROGER “DOOK” WYNNE
LEXINGTON, SC - A memorial service for William Roger “Dook” Wynne, 53, of Lexington, SC will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Senior Pastor Jim Glatz. The family will receive friends following the service at the church in the Total Life Center. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Louisburg, NC.

Mr. Wynne died on Thursday, July 15, 2010. Born in  Henderson, NC, he was the son of the late Charlie Robert and Margaret Jane Dixon Wynne. He was a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. He was employed with Lexington Medical Center Extended Care as Director of Dietary Services. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt, fish, was a great cook, and also was a Tar Heels fan.  But most of all  he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline “Bootsie” Wynne of Lexington; daughter, Sarah Margaret Wynne, and son, William Charlie Wynne of Lexington; sister, Rose Leonard (Earl) of Louisburg, NC; brother, James Wynne, Ayden, NC; nieces and nephews, Nicki Leonard, Jacqueline and Mary Katherine Kitzmiller, Wil and Meredith Harvie.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Randy and Larry Wynne.
