RONNIE MAE CARPENTER
YOUNGSVILLE - Ronnie Mae Carpenter, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 at her home. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Sept. 25 at the Wake Forest Church of God. Burial followed in the Wake Forest Cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Cora Lowery Hailey and Dee Hailey and was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Carpenter.

Surviving: children, William “Snoot” Carpenter and wife Jewel of Lake Royale, Betty Mae Gibson and husband Jerry of Henderson, Carolyn Lee, Sam “Buck” Carpenter and wife Annette, Brenda Fay Davis and husband Daniel, all of Franklinton, Barbara Ann Tant and husband Curtis, Deborah Kay Sherron and husband Jimmy, Jimmy Charles Carpenter, Ricky Carpenter, and wife Karen, Mary Jane Carpenter, Kenneth Carpenter, Roy “Boo Boo” Carpenter and wife Cindy, all of Youngsville; stepson, Marvin Carpenter of Durham; sisters, Gracie Oakley of Youngsville and Myrtle Turner of Moultrie, Ga.; 29 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
