BENJAMIN S. “SID” MITCHELL
CREEDMOOR - Benjamin S. “Sid” Mitchell, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006 at Mayview Convalescent Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, in Eakes Funeral Home chapel, Creedmoor, by the Rev. Wesley Garner. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Benjamin S. and Virginia Harris Mitchell and the widower of Catherine Blaine Mitchell. He was a retired service station owner.

Surviving: a son, James Sidney Mitchell (Debra) of Raleigh; brothers, Hubert Mitchell, Owen Mitchell and James Mitchell.

Sisters Beatrice Whitt and Laura Doerr preceded him in death.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Brassfield Baptist Church, 2072 Highway #96, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
