Leona resided at Louisburg Manor on Smoketree Way in Louisburg, N.C. She was a very diligent individual with many skills and interests.  Real estate was her main ambition.  Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling, camping and taking lots of photos, but most of all she loved sharing time with her family and friends.  Her heart was touched by corresponding with the missionaries in other countries and helping the cause for the underprivileged children in Haiti.

Leona will be greatly missed by those she devoted her life to and who dearly loved her.  Her children: Jackueine K. Adams, Gary A. Stutzman, and Jan M. Windsor.  Donna L. Kyttle, the elder daughter, predeceased her mother on June 24, 2010.  Leona also has a surviving sister, Rose Bilger Wilson;  grandchildren; Gary Kyttle Jr., Sherryll Kyttle Nadolny, Richard Pursell, Christy Kay Smith Shiffer, Gail Stutzman Goerisch, Nicole Stutzman, Megan Stutzman, Kelly Deibler Brumbaugh, Melissa Marcy, Rayce Windsor;  great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

We would like to recognize and make mention of a few special people who put forth extra efforts throughout Leona’s life:  niece, Mrs. Mary Cooper, for all her kindness, love, friendship, and support; son-in-law, Gary Kyttle Sr., for always being there for his loved ones; granddaughter, Mrs. Christy Kay Shiffer, who always stepped in with caring love and devotion when needed tremendously; Linda Sue Wilson for her special love for her Aunt Leona; all that knew Leona, friends, maybe someone unknown, and all other family members who loved her dearly. Thanks, from the bottom of our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Bunn United Methodist Church, 200 Main Street, Bunn, N.C. 27508.

Leona will be laid to rest beside her sister, Doris L. Swinehart, in the Harmony Cemetery on Mahoning Street in Milton, Pa. A graveside service will also be held on Sat., Nov. 13, 2010 at 2:00 P.M., for all the friends and family that would like to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:  Love A Child, Inc., P.O. Box 30744, Tampa, FL 33630.  In memory of Leona Kathryn Kendall.
