HILDA B. BLAKE
RALEIGH - Hilda Blackmon Blake, 72, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 from injuries suffered in an auto accident. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

She was born in Four Oaks. She worked part time at Hair Creations Hair Salon in Raleigh.

Surviving: husband, Ollie L. Blake; sons, Tony Strickland of Raleigh, Richard (Sharon) Browning of Wake Forest, John (Elissa) Blake of Kernersville, Craig (Sandy) Strickland of Raleigh, Keith (Sue) Strickland of New York; siblings, Wayne Blackmon, Linda Savage and Brenda Mott, all of Virginia, and Faye Fields of Youngsville; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 19) at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Baptist Church in memory of Hilda.
