ERMA M. SIKES
NEW HILL - Erma Lee May Sikes, 102, died Sunday, July 3, 2011. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Way officiating. Burial followed in Ebenezer United Methodist Church cemetery.

Surviving: sons, Walter Sikes of New Hill, Wesley Sikes (Pearl) of New Hill, and Curtis Sikes (Rosemary) of Durham; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Cora Williams and Walter Lee May. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Morgan Sikes.

Flowers accepted or contributions can be made to the Annex Building Fund at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 4364 Beaver Creek Road, New Hill, NC 27562.
