CARL D. FINCH
ZEBULON - Carl Durant Finch, 80, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Pitt Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Wakefield Central Baptist Church, 308 Proctor Street, Zebulon, with the Rev. Keith Wagner and the Rev. Mike Sterlachini officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Arendell Avenue, Zebulon, with military honors.

He was born in Wake County to the late Neuma Alton Finch and Ella Grace Mitchell Finch. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired self-employed food broker.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 9 to 10:45 a.m. in the church sanctuary.

Surviving: wife, Crae Naylor Finch; daughters, Gail Naylor Finch, Carol Dail Finch and Gwyn F. Price (Troy), all of Zebulon; sister, Carolyn F. Bunn of Zebulon; and three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elmo Finch.

Instead of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Wakefield Central Baptist Church, 308 Proctor Street, Zebulon, NC 27597 or Continuous Blessings Foundation, P.O. Box 99586, Raleigh, NC 27624.
