ROBERT SCOTT WILDER
FRANKLINTON - Robert Scott Wilder, 40, of Franklinton died February 26, 2006 in an auto accident in Wake County. Born in Vance County, he was the son of Melvin Lee Wilder and Jean Preddy Wilder.

Scott was the owner of Wilders Farm and Fencing and worked with his father and uncle at Wilder Brothers Farm Supply and Bar W. He served as President of the Mitchiner’s Crossroads Hunting Club, was a former member of Mitchiner’s Crossroads Fire Department, and rode horses with the Franklin County Trail Blazers. Scott enjoyed fishing and was the captain of his boat, Just Because II.

Survivors include his parents of Franklinton; a sister, Vickie Lee Wilder of Franklinton; and his special dog and companion, Bandit.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday in Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clyde Waiden officiating. Cremation will follow the memorial services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation—Save the Bay at http://www.cbf.org. This is the place Scott liked to go fishing. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Franklin Funeral Service and Cremation in Franklinton.

Pallbearers will be Jason Medlin, Mike Dickerson, Sam Green, Jerry Pearce, Dan Edwards, Todd Cannady, Edward Wheeler and Jeff Layton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Collins, Jeff Hoffman, Jimmy Collie and Gar Ayscue Jr.
