LOUISBURG - Sudie B. Carter Mitchell Hamm, 90, formerly of Wilson, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Nov. 10, at Joyner’s Funeral Home in Wilson, with the Rev. Phil Baucom officiating. Burial followed in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.

Surviving: daughters, Jane M. Boyette (Bob) of Wilson, Faye M. Holton (Dean) of Louisburg, and Ann M. Lewis (Warren) of Middlesex; sons, Kenneth Mitchell Sr. (Miriam) of Smithfield, Bernice Mitchell (Donna) of Carolina Beach; sisters, Pauline Hare of Wilson and Christine Bass of Florence, S.C.; brother, Leonard Douglas Carter of Wilson; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
