SPRING HOPE – Louise Davis Boone, of the Justice Community, passed away Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Boone was a daughter of the late Ernest Garland Davis and Ila Pearl Breedlove Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Taylor Boone, and great-nephew, Bailey Scarbrough. She was a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church and was a retired teacher’s assistant.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Lancaster Memorial Park with the Rev. Jack Edge officiating.
Mrs. Boone is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Don Boone of Raleigh, Warren and Myra Boone, Dennis and Cecilia Boone, all of the Justice Community; grandchildren, Will Boone, Leigh Anne Arrington and husband, Wes, Bill Boone, Jessica Nash, and Grant Boone; great-grandchildren, Anna, and Emily Arrington; sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Larry Roberson of Raleigh, and their family, Wendy and Timmy Scarbrough and children, Zachary, Savannah, Gabrielle, and Eli; Amy and John York and children, Layton and Luke; Keith and Amanda Roberson and daughter, Harper; sister, Ernestine “Poppy” Layton of Raleigh.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the William Taylor Boone Media Center at Edward Best School, 4011 NC 56 Hwy. E., Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.
