LARRY T. LIGGINS
ZEBULON - Larry T. Liggins, 63, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 23, at Montlawn Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed at Montlawn Memorial Park.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Perry T. Liggins and Thelma Creech Liggins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was a retired investigative supervisor with the North Carolina Department of Justice.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Liggins.

Surviving: wife, Judy H. Liggins; son, Matthew “Matt” Liggins of Vanceboro; daughter Krista Liggins of Clayton; brothers, Donnell Liggins of Wendell and Ricky Liggins of Raleigh.

Flowers welcomed or memorial contributions may be made in honor of the deceased to the Cardiology Fund for Excellence at the Medical Foundation of NC, 880 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
