LYMAN A. WOMACK
YOUNGSVILLE - Lyman Albert Womack, 69, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at home. A celebration of his life will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest. He will be laid to rest in Dardanelle, Ariz., at a later date.

He was born in Dardanelle, Ariz., to the late Varina Hovis and Lyman Odell Womack. He worked for many years with GTE and retired from Nortel Network as a program manager after many years of service.

Surviving: Brenda Hall of the home; children, Joel Womack of Buffalo Junction, Va., Lisa Blackwood (Steve) of Raleigh and Cindy Lindley of Apex; stepchildren, Stacey Markham (Mickey) of Henderson and Gary Millsap (Tammy) of Wilkesboro; brothers and sisters, David Womack (Patsy) of Houston, Ark., Danny Womack of Harrison, Ark., Willa Kennedy (Ken) of Gentry, Ark., Rosa Mae Williams (Duane) of Buck, Ariz., Ken Womack (Peggy) of Cummin, Ga., Joan Johnson (Marvin) of Springdale, Ark., and Stephen Womack of Ozone, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607-6372.

Friends may visit with the family following the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest. (919-556-5811)
