ROBERT L. “BOBBY” WARD, JR.
November 17, 1942 – October 26, 2011
LOUISBURG – Robert L. “Bobby” Ward, Jr., 68, of Louisburg, passed away Wednesday morning at his home.

Bobby was a son of the late Robert and Iredell Ward. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie Ward. Bobby loved history and anything pertaining to the Civil War. He was also proud of the cabin he built on his farm from the ground up.

Funeral service were 11a.m.Friday at Rock Spring Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Bobby is survived by his wife and best friend, of 46 years, Betty S. Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie W. and Mike Fox of Siler City; sons and daughter-in-law, Alan and Pamela Ward of Jonesborough, TN, Daniel Ward of Louisburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Don Strickland of Sorrento, FL, Etheleen and Lewis Jackson of Kanawha, IA. He was Papa to Baylee Fox, Patrick and Andrew Ward.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg,
