GEORGE C. WILSON
YOUNGSVILLE —George Charles Wilson, 81, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at his residence. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Peoples Chapel Free Will Baptist Church cemetery in Elm City. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.

He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., son of the late Mary Mosca Wilson and George E. Wilson. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 28 years of service and was a retired Visual Communications supervisor with Sprint in Wake Forest.

He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Robert Wilson II.

Surviving: wife, Jackie Wilson; daughter, Christina Lantman (Allan) of Sharpsburg; son, Greg Wilson (Kelly) of Rocky Mount; stepson, Ron Chappell (Jeff Laney) of Palm Springs, Calif.; stepdaughter, Rose Chappell Burns (Kenny); sisters, Barbara Wilson, Ruth Weinberger and Miriam Easton; brothers, Joseph Wilson, Paul Wilson, Thomas Wilson and John Wilson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount.
