CARL B. CREEKMORE
NASHVILLE - Carl Braxton Creekmore, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011. Funeral service was  Saturday, Dec. 31, at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville, with the Rev. Paul Arnold and the Rev. Roy Parker officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Aaron and Kathleen Creekmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Creekmore. He was a member of Momeyer Baptist Church.

He was a building contractor in Nash and surrounding counties, followed by 15 years as co-owner of Nashville Building Supply Company.

Surviving: wife, Gloria Hinton Creekmore; daughters, Courtney Bass (Lance) of Spring Hope, Claire Norton (Terry) of Irmo, S.C.; son, David Creekmore (Samantha) of Rocky Mount; brothers, Alvin Creekmore (Irene), Wallace Creekmore (Joan); and three grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor the memory of the deceased are encouraged to make memorial gifts to the Momeyer Fire and Rescue Department, 4872 Momeyer Way, Nashville, NC 27856 or Spring Hope Fire Department, P.O. Box 806, Spring Hope, NC 27882.
