MAXINE DAVIS
LOUISBURG -  Maxine H. Davis, 79, of Louisburg passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012, at UNC Hospital.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, with the Rev. Mark Tondee officiating.  Burial will follow in the Boone Family Cemetery.

Ms. Davis was an egg grader at Cargill for 25 years before she retired.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie W. and Charlie W. Hobgood of Oxford; her sisters, Frances Seate and Eva Brown of Oxford; her brother, Charles W. “Pete” Hobgood of Butner. 

Ms. Davis is survived by her daughter, Ardeth Boone and her husband, Jimmy; granddaughter, Jamie Whitley and her husband, Matt; grandson, Brad Boone and his wife, Kelly; and her great-granddaughter, Taylor Whitley, all of Louisburg.  She is also survived by four nieces and two nephews.

The family received friends Friday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral & Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg and at all other times at the home of Jimmy & Ardeth Boone.  Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
