ZEBULON - Joyce Barlow Gibson, 68, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at Rex Hospital. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Montlawn Funeral Home in Raleigh, with services to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A family burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
A native of Raleigh, she was retired from Clearpoint Financial as a credit counselor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Hazel Barlow.
Surviving: sons, Walter Clifton Gibson III and Martin Gregory Gibson of Raleigh; sister, Peggy DeBruhl; brothers, Larry Barlow and James Bruce Barlow; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in memory of Joyce to the Special Olympics North Carolina, 2200 Gateway Center Blvd., Suite 201, Morrisville, NC 27560.
