YOUNGSVILLE —Sylvia Carter Ray, 75, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Baptist Church cemetery.
She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Siddis and Dock Morris Carter. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and was retired from Alcatel. She was married to Frank M. Ray, who preceded her in death.
Surviving: sister, Dalma C. Phillips of Raleigh; half sister, Doris C. Bowlin of Youngsville; one niece and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 2817 Durham Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
Friends may visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
