MARSHA A. BARTHOLOMEW

LOUISBURG - At 6:45 PM on September 11, 2012, Marsha Alcorn Bartholomew answered the call of the Lord to walk just a little closer to Him. A wife, mother, and sister, Marsha always put others before herself in everything she did. With a passion for family, faith, flowers, and fashion, she always knew the right thing to say and do to put a smile on another’s face. She had a zeal for life and a love of God that was evident throughout everything she did. May the light of the Lord shine on her as she looks down upon her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband: William T. Bartholomew; her sons: Edward M. Bartholomew II and William T. Bartholomew, Jr.; her sisters: Nancy Alcorn, Kathy Jones, Terry Haga, and Cricket Alcorn; and her nephew: Michael Jones.

Funeral services were held at Louisburg Baptist Church on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11 AM with the Rev. Reggie Rushing officiating.  Entombment followed at Oakwood Cemetery.  The family received friends Thursday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Memo: Marsha Bartholomew, 811 W. Evergreen Ave., Suite 204, Chicago, IL 60642, www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org or to one’s church or favorite charity.  Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
