GEORGE T. “TOMMY” WYNNE
LOUISBURG - George Thomas “Tommy” Wynne 63, of Louisburg died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at his home.

Tommy, a native of Franklin County, was the son of the late George Washington and Shirley Ayscue Wynne.

Tommy was a Franklin County commissioner for 16 years. He also worked for Franklin County EMS, and was a member of the Louisburg Rescue, serving as Chief for several years, and served on numerous boards in Franklin County.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Ann Valentine Wynne; his daughters, April W. Longmire and her husband Tommy of Kittrell and Gina W. Champion and her husband Kevin of Louisburg; four grandchildren, Breann and Taylor Longmire, Kyle and Camren Champion; three sisters, Linda Taylor and her husband Freddie, Judy Joyner and her husband Gary, Pat Jones and her husband Greg, all of Louisburg; and his brother, Dwight Wynne of Louisburg.

Memorial Services were Tuesday at 2 P.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Norris Cooke.

The family received friends following the service at the Church.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of George Thomas “Tommy” Wynne to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhatten Beach, CA  90266-3721.
