KAREN LEE V. ALDEN
FRANKLINTON —Karen Lee Vaughn Alden, 69, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Wake Med Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 504 E. Mason St., Franklinton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

She was born in Waterford, N.Y., to the late Edward and Pauline Vaughn.

Surviving: children, Kimberly Alden of Franklinton, Tammy Yuhasz, Robert Alden and Jason Alden, all of Schenectady, N.Y.; sister, Patricia Palumbo of Safe Harbor, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin County SPCA, Donations, 105 Mill Creek Drive, Youngsville, NC 27596; American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311; or the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept., 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
