KENNETH R. STEVENS, SR.
WARRENTON - Kenneth Raymond Stevens, Sr., 74, of Warrenton, died Saturday, January 5, 2013, at UNC Chapel Hill.  Kenneth retired from the US Air Force after 21 years of service as an aircraft mechanic and aircraft scheduler, touring Vietnam for one year.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Stevens, Sr. and Alvina Knight Stevens; his brothers, Robert Stevens, Jr., and Edward “Pete” Stevens; and his two nephews, Malcolm Stevens and Edward Stevens.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Stevens; his sons, Kenneth R. Stevens, Jr., and his wife Bess of Vermont; Kevin R. Stevens of Vermont, Wyatt J. Murphy of Durham, Daniel K. Murphy and his wife, Kimberly of Oxford, John W. West of Louisburg and Jeffrey S. West and his wife, Crystal of Little Washington; his daughters, Heather M. Murphy of Oneida, NY and Ciera Page and her husband, Steven of Louisburg; thirteen grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; his sisters, Lillian Stevens of Burlington, VT, Ella “Midge” Wyman of Proctorsville, VT, Helen Kennett of Perkinsville, VT and Marion Kendall and her husband, Ned of Chester, VT; ten nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services were held Tuesday at Centerville Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Aaron Land officiating.
